Call for Articles/Publications

The Students’ Judicial Council is an arm of the Students’ Union Government that upholds and holds true the Justice system, and ensures fairness.

In light of achieving and encouraging this among students, this prestigious arm hereby calls for Articles from all interested persons.

Please Note; For your Article to be accepted for publication on our website, it must be a topic that addresses legal related issues, or a legal perspective on any topic of your choice. This is so we can promote the true tenets of Justice.

Also, the Article writing is not limited to Law students only, it is open to students across all faculties.

It is also to be noted that Articles can be written in other Language(s).

MODALITIES

• Article is open to students across all faculties.
• Articles must not be less than 1000 words, and not be more than 1500 words.
• Articles must be in Times New Roman, with a Font Size of 12, and 1.5 Line Spacing.
• The OSCOLA referencing style must be used for citation of all external sources.
• Articles must be original. Detection of AI tools, and plagiarism will lead to an automatic disqualification.
• Any Article sent after the deadline will not be attended to.
• For Law Students Only: Essay must contain your Chamber Registration Number.
• Joint Authorship is acceptable.
• Article must contain the email(s) of Author(s)
• Grading would be based on relevance of topics, quality of research, clarity of writing, and originality of perspective.
• The editorial board reserves the right to edit the works to ensure clarity, style and consistency with the website’s standard.
• Authors will be informed of acceptance, rejection or request for revision.
• Note: Not all articles sent to the email would be published, only the best would be.
